Jacob Holroyd is no stranger to writing some tunes worth bopping to having done so fronting former band Haize for several years. But now on pastures new, he's released his second, slower, solo single via Porterbrook Records. So we're delighted to bring you, Maybe I, premiered right here, right now, before it's official release tomorrow:

Holroyd lays it all out on the table with some straight up sincere lyrics that dodge the cliche I love you's and ooh baby's. And for a brief three minutes, with lyrics such as 'last night when I fell asleep, it took ahold of me and I dream of where you are,' we're sucked into his lavender-filled-bedroom-pop macrocosm where we'd happily roll around and frolic for hours on end. His Reading roots however, are still firmly present thanks to drumming courtesy of Joe Emmett and production from Chris Alderton of The Amazons. Needless to say, this is just the start of a very promising solo career. Enjoy.
